Mission & Goals
The guidance and counseling program at Fordham High School for the Arts is aligned to the National Standards for School Counseling Programs, and the Fordham High School for the Arts Mission and Vision Statements. Goals for FHSA’s Guidance and Counseling programs include the following:
- Improve student learning and reducing student failure
- Improve student self- regulatory skills
- Increase opportunities for learning through technology
- Prepare students for transition from school to college and/or careers
- Expand professional development opportunities for teachers
