CTE Drama
NEW THIS YEAR: New York State has approved our CTE Drama Program. This means extra funds and opportunities for our students!!!! Including Work Based Learning Internships!
CTE Drama allows students to explore building skills in acting, directing, playwriting, dramaturgy, musical theatre, voice and diction and theatre history while allowing students time for practical application through professional productions, Work Based Learning activities and paid, professional internships at arts and cultural organizations in NYC.
The topics our students study are (but are not limited to):
- Greek Drama and Shakespeare
- Verbatim Theatre: Social Justice
- The Classics: America and Beyond
- Comedy Style and Satire
- Acting for the Camera
- Skills Lab: Career Readiness
- Senior Exit Project
- Online Portfolio Creation
